I have had the pleasure of working with Giuliana and Giammarco multiple times, starting back in 2011. I have learned so much! Over the past year, I met with Giammarco weekly. It was an absolute joy. He is kind, smart, and funny, and a brilliant teacher. And Giuliana runs a great business. Highly recommended if you are looking for personalized teaching and opportunities to build your language and cultural skills.

I spent the first two weeks in May 2026 exploring Rome with Giuliana and Giammarco. I cannot speak more highly of them or the school in general. It was everything I dreamed a school in Rome could be at this point in my study of Italian. The exciting challenge of conversation and learning coupled with the joy of exploring the marvel that is The Eternal City. It was an honor and pleasure to have this experience - and you can be certain I will be enlisting for another 2 weeks next year.

This is a small language school in a pleasant neighborhood convenient to the Piramide Metro stop. After doing research I chose it from among the many language schools available because it offers a fascinating program of walking around Rome instead of sitting in a classroom. It was an excellent choice even though it was wintertime. I spent 2 weeks doing one-on-one lessons for 3 hours a day with Giuliana, one of the two instructor/owners. 3 of the days we were in the classroom and the rest of the time we walked to interesting sites seldom visited by tourists (and thus were quiet enough for us to hold conversations). The only exception was our visit to the Vatican Museums at my request. Giuliana prepared materials pertinent to the sites we visited and some exercises focusing on grammar points related to those materials. She also prepared some homework for me to complete. We always stopped for nice coffee breaks too. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, and found Giuliana to be an outstanding, warm, intelligent, and encouraging teacher. Highly recommended.

We took a wonderfully challenging 5-day intensive course at Percosi d'Italiano. As it happened, it was just the two of us in the class - an immersive experience for 3 hours per day that included grammer/vocabulary lessons, conversations on a variety of subjects, and 'field trips' to the historic Aventino Hill and the Testaccio Market. Both teachers have decades of experience and tailored the course to our level (more or less beginners). The course was taught primarily in Italian but allowed for our occasional questions in English. While the materials were rigorous, we enjoyed the teacher's open approach and relaxed sense of humor. As two retired teachers, we highly recommend Percosi. We learned so much and enjoyed doing it!

I have taken many Italian classes in Italy and PERCORSI D'ITALIANO was by far the best school I attended. Their approach is very personalised, geared to the student's proficiency. I took individual classes and concluded that a class focusing on my needs is far better than the group classes I had taken previously, as the groups were rarely homogenous in their knowledge of Italian. Even the learning material is prepared according to the student's particular needs. Giuliana is an experienced, well organised and super competent teacher as well as a delightful person. The classes were pure joy and I learned so much. Even on the 'percorsi' walking tour/class, the focus is on learning new vocabulary and making stops to do simple exercises. I hope to return someday and continue perfecting my Italian in this effective and most enjoyable way. I highly recommend Percorsi d'Italiano to anyone looking for a great learning experience. If you are thinking about learning Italian or you already know some Italian you have come to the right place. I did an intensive one on one class over a week with Giuliana and it was amazing. She tailors the course to your level and challenges you the whole time. She asked me to prepare some ideas on a topic and then we had many interesting conversations in Italian. They were always challenging, and I learned so much. She’s very good at correcting you when necessary, but not correcting every single little thing that makes it impossible to talk. Not only did we work together in a classroom type environment, she took me out and I was able to go to a café and a market and a store and walk around Rome and really immerse myself with her while speaking Italian. I honestly can’t wait to do my next class with her.
